*The investigation picks back up this morning into the death of a 51-year-old man that worked for Calcasieu Parish Public Works.  He was killed on the job yesterday when he was hit by an SUV.

*A tuition task force gets to work studying the impact of increased tuition rates on Louisiana's TOPS program.  We'll tell you how Louisiana is different than other states when it comes to hiking tuition prices.

*The funeral for Pastor Ronald Harris, Sr., the man gunned down while preaching a revival service in Lake Charles, is tomorrow.  Find out what his congregation is doing to remember him.

*It is day 11 and it looks like there is some movement in Washington toward ending the government shutdown and preventing an historic federal default.  The way out still is not clear, but you'll hear what is: the frustration among Americans.

*Is rain in the forecast this weekend?  Meteorologist Ben Terry says one or two passing quick showers could happen.  You'll want to see his pinpoint forecast that also details the next front with cooler air.
