BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

A Bossier Parish man is behind bars, accused of stabbing both of his parents Sunday night at their south Bossier home, leaving his father clinging to life.

According to the Bossier Sheriff's Office, 29-year-old Steve Hall II was arrested Monday morning and charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder.

Bossier sheriff's detectives were called to investigate a stabbing at a home in the 100 block of Honeysuckle Lane off of Sligo Road around 9:15 p.m. Sunday.

It was there that investigators say Hall had stabbed his father and then his mother. The father suffered stab wounds primarily to his neck and chest area, while Hall's mother had stab wounds to her face and shoulder area.

Both were taken to LSU Medical Center, where the father is listed in critical condition. The condition of the mother has not been released, but she is said to be stable.

Hall was arrested Monday morning after he reportedly went to a neighbor's place of employment and asked for food.

"Before I got him his food, I walked around the corner and I called 911, and they told me to stall him as long as I could," said Clyde Boll, a neighbor who describes the man's parents as very kind and giving. According to Boll, Hall wanted food before he left town.

Police say Hall lives with his parents and had stolen their vehicle, but was captured in the Elm Grove area near the intersection of Highway 154 and Highway 157 around 10:30 a.m., after detectives got a warrant his arrest.

He will be booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility with a bond of $1,000,000.
