After the loss at Northern Iowa this weekend, the Cowboys are moving forward.

McNeese fell two spots to No. 11 in the Sports Network poll and 14th in this week's FCS Coaches Top 25 following Saturday's 41-6 loss.

McNeese (4-1) ranked ninth in both polls heading into last Saturday's game and maintained its top 15 ranking despite the big loss to the Panthers, who are now ranked fourth in both polls.

McNeese will open Southland Conference play this Saturday at Central Arkansas (2-2) who is 14th in the Sports Network and 11th in the coaches polls.
