Pastor shot during church service, suspect arrested

Good Afternoon,

Lee Peck in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we are working on today.

A Lake Charles pastor is shot and killed during a church service. According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office the suspect surrendered and led deputies to the guns he used in the shooting. KPLC's Monica Grimaldo was on the scene last night and will have the latest.

The Chennault International Airshow roared across the skies of the Lake Area this weekend. KPLC's Erica Bivens was there along with hundreds of others to see the spectacle up above.

Plus, it may be there day off but more than 800 teachers were learning new technology to help teach their students in the classroom. KPLC's Haley Rush has this story.

And are you enjoying this nice weather? - Meteorologist Cedric Haynes is also in with a check of the forecast.

We'll see you tonight at Six for these stories and more. Until then, we're always on at kplctv.com.
