MOHAVE VALLEY, AZ (CBS5) -

A northern Arizona man is facing negligent homicide and abuse charges after two children allegedly overdosed at his home and one later died.

The Mohave County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to the 5000 block of South Emerald River Drive in Mohave Valley on Sept. 21 to investigate a medical call.

Deputies learned two juveniles had possibly overdosed on drugs while at the home.

On Friday, MCSO detectives executed a search warrant at Richard Allan Falstad's home where the juveniles were. Detectives said they found evidence leading them to arrest Falstad, 31, near his home.

Falstad said both juveniles were at his home and became ill. One of the juveniles was experiencing seizures, according to Falstad. He told police he drove one of the juveniles to the walk-in clinic in Bullhead City. The victim was later airlifted to University Medical Center in Las Vegas where he died.

The other victim was treated at the hospital.

A group of boys are taking their love for baseball off the field and into the backyard. And no, this isn't a scene out of the 1993 classic "The Sandlot." It’s happening right here in Lake Charles.

At the David household, there's something special going on in the backyard.

“One day in the backyard we came out here and decided to start playing around,” said Dylan David, who started a Wiffle ball league with his friends.
