Counselor, therapist's licenses revoked

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

A local counselor and marriage therapist has lost his licenses after admitting improper conduct with a client.

The Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselors Board of Examiners has revoked the licenses of Christopher K. Hay.

Hay was practicing in Lake Charles as a local marriage and family therapist and counselor.

The disciplinary action comes after Hay admitted that he inappropriately touched a client in a sexual manner and that he made inappropriate sexual comments.

The Calcasieu Sheriff's Office is investigating, but a spokesman says they are in the preliminary stages and have no comment.

The consent agreement and order revoking Hay's licenses is a public record on the state board's website.
