Calcasieu Parish Police Jury addresses flooding problems

Good Monday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's ahead on today's Sunrise:

*Weekend rains proved too much for some local roadways and homes that took on an unbearable amount of water.  This morning you'll hear from one of the families already in the process of rebuilding what was destroyed and find out what the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury is doing to address the issue of flooding.

*A major Lake Charles intersection will be upgraded starting today.  Traffic will be reduced to one lane on West Prien Lake Road between Lake and Nelson to add a turning lane onto Holly Hill Road.  We'll tell you how long this closure will last and the time frame each day.

*The fall McNeese State University Career Fair is set for today in the rec complex.  This is for MSU students and alumni.  Find out what you need to do if you plan to attend.

*Find out the newest information on that deadly siege by Islamist militants at an upscale Nairobi, Kenya mall.  Attackers have killed at least 68 people, injured 175 and are still believed to be holding 10 people hostage.

*We're already off to a cooler start this morning, but the question is - how long will it last?  Meteorologist Ben Terry will have our forecast.

Make it a Sunrise day!
