McNeese Cowboys hosted Weber State, it was a showcase of the Cow - KPLC 7 News, Lake Charles, Louisiana

McNeese Cowboys hosted Weber State, it was a showcase of the Cowboys talent.

Mother Nature played a factor in all sports this past weekend. McNeese Football, was one of them. But in the end, the Cowboys knocked the socks off of Weber State and go on to win 43-6.

The rain stopped at half time, which was the same time the Cowboys came back out on the field and showed their loyal fans what they are made of.

Defense pulled out a stop not allowing Weber to score more than 1 touchdown. The quarterbacks were sacked 4 times, and Weber threw two interceptions.

The offense definitely had their time to shine as well. Senior QB Cody Stroud completed 13 of 24 passes for 189 yards. There was also 4 rushing touchdowns, where 2 running backs gained over 100 yards. The Cowboys also put up over 40 points, for their 4th week in a row.

This Saturday McNeese is on the road looking to make it 5-0 against Northern Iowa.
