New Iberia man jailed on manufacturing, distributing child porn

NEW IBERIA, LA (WAFB) -

A New Iberia, LA man is behind bars in after being accused of manufacturing and distributing child pornography.

State Police detectives were provided with information Monday morning that 32-year-old Austin Gulledge of New Iberia was in possession of child pornography. A search warrant was obtained for Gulledge's home.

The Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office, Louisiana State Police and the FBI served the search warrant where they seized various media storage devices containing more than 200 images depicting child pornography, as well as more than 20 videos depicting child sexual acts. 

Authorities were also able to determine that Gulledge was producing and distributing child pornography.

Gulledge was taken into custody without incident and booked into jail.

The case remains under investigation.

    A large police presence was on Third Street, near La. 14, Thursday morning after receiving a call of a possible kidnapping, said Lt. Richard Harrell, with the Lake Charles Police Department. The person who was the target of the alleged kidnapping is an adult an is in police care, Harrell said.
