This Saturday, against West Alabama, Senior Quarterback Cody Stroud was named this weeks Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

In his record-breaking performance, Stroud tied a school record with five touchdown passes, and he set a school mark with 14 consecutive pass completions. This was his second league Player of the Week honor in his career.

On the season, Stroud has led the Cowboys to a No. 2 national ranking in scoring offense at 51.7 points per game and 12th in total offense with 485 yards per game.  Individually, the senior from Montgomery is third in the league with a 274.7 passing yards average and is first in pass efficiency at 168.0, good enough for 10th in the NCAA.  He'has also been responsible for 54 of McNeese's 155 points, fourth best in the nation. - Per McNeese SID
