Bar fight turns deadly, investigation ongoing

Good Evening,

Lee Peck from the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we are working on for this Sunday edition of Nightcast.

New developments in the bar fight that sent a man to the hospital and another man to jail. Lake Charles Police say the victim has since been declared brain dead. According to police the investigation is ongoing and charges against 19-year-old Auston Soileau could be upgraded.

And another traffic stop in Jeff Davis Parish leads to a drug arrest. Deputies say they found traces of crack cocaine in the car belonging to passenger Racquel Antoine. She now faces drug charges.

Plus, an Oberlin boy is bitten by a neighborhood dog. KPLC's Gerron Jordan shows you what his family is doing to make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else.

Also, we go aboard the U.S.S. Orleck as folks celebrate the 68th anniversary of the Navy Destroyer's commissioning. KPLC's Christopher Boyd has this story.

And smart phones and e-tablets really are for everyone. KPLC's Haley Rush shows you how they're helping the blind and visually impaired.

In Sports, Rebecca Cade has highlights and post game reaction from the Cowboys' big win over West Alabama.

We saw a slight cool down from scattered showers this weekend, but what does the work week hold? Meteorologist Cedric Haynes has your complete forecast.

We'll see you tonight following NFL Sunday Night Football. Until then, we're always on at kplctv.com.
