Recently rebuilt NJ boardwalk burns overnight

Happy Friday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here with a look at today's headlines:

*Officials aren't speculating yet on what caused the fire that tore through a famous New Jersey boardwalk.  It is the same area that was heavily damaged by Superstorm Sandy last year and that could be part of the problem.

*Talks resume in Switzerland today between the U.S. and Russia.  Secretary of State John Kerry and his Russian counterpart are trying to nail down details of a plan to destroy Syria's chemical weapons.

*Residents around Moss Bluff and Westlake say there are pros and cons to some possible changes for busy Highway 378.  One of the proposed options would impact Sam Houston Jones State Park.  We'll take a look at those maps today.

*Walking and bicycling will soon be encouraged at one local elementary school.  Find out about a grant from DOTD's Safe Routes to School program that will assist in keeping kids safe.

*Don't forget to wear your best blue and gold today to support the McNeese Cowboys!  It's Geaux Blue day ahead of tomorrow's home game against the University of West Alabama.

Make it a Sunrise day!
