19 Action News reporter, Scott Taylor has just discovered the call taker during Amanda Berry's escape in May has received a written reprimand from the city.

The actions of the call-taker were under review for several reasons. During the call, it sounded as if the call taker cursed at the end.

According to the city and U.S. Secret Service audio expert, the call taker did not curse.

However, the city said he should have kept her on the line.

The city went on to tell Scott Taylor the call taker should have showed more empathy.  His actions did not measure up to standards.

"I felt he could been more empathetic with her and more compassionate with her," said Commander Thomas Stocco.

19 Action News has made the decision not to use the call taker's name.

Back in May the city said the call taker complied with policies and procedures which enabled a very fast response by police, but noted some concerns and promised a review.
