LCPD arrests two in sexual assault case involving 9-year-old

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

Lake Charles police have arrested two people in connection with a sexual assault case involving a 9-year-old male.

According to a news release from the department, officers responded to a June 15 incident involving the child.

Ryan Garcia, 47, a registered sex offender, and Olivia Obrien, 19, are accused of forcing the child to perform sexual acts at the pair's home.

Garcia allegedly told the child not to tell anyone or he would be physically harmed. 

Garcia and Obrien were arrested Monday. Garcia was booked on charges of aggravated rape and failure to register as a sex offender.

Obrien was charged with aggravated rape. Both were also charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile.

They are being held in the Calcasieu Parish Jail. Garcia's bond was set at $600,000; and Obrien's bond was set at $260,000.
