DALARNA, SWEDEN (RNN) - A Swedish woman found her long lost wedding ring in a carrot patch - 16 years after losing it.
Lena Pahlsson, lost her white gold wedding ring in 1995. She and her husband searched everywhere – so they thought.
While pulling up carrots in her garden earlier this year, she noticed her seven-diamond encrusted wedding ring attached to one of the carrots.
Lena Pahlsson's family was surprised, including her husband Ola Pahlsson.
"It was Lena's wedding ring that had been missing since 1995 after Lena's annual Christmas baking. It had surfaced, wrapped around a carrot. Quite amazing," Ola Pahlsson said, to a local newspaper – according to Daily Mail.
The family believes that a sheep may have accidentally ingested the ring after eating table scraps, and its manure was spread over the vegetable garden.
Lena Pahlsson will have the ring resized before she can wear it, but says, "We're keeping it in a safe place."
