Man's prosthetic arm stolen by burglar

Good Monday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what' ahead on today's Sunrise:

*A Lafayette-area man hopes for a miracle this morning after a burglar broke into his family's home, stealing his prosthetic arm and medications. 

*The National Grange is the first nationwide farm organization and now it's coming to Southwest Louisiana.  The Grange calls itself the voice for rural Americans.  We'll tell you more about it in a report with KPLC's Haley Rush.

*There's new hope in the search for a missing South Louisiana woman.  She is a crew member aboard a boat named "Nina," that was last heard from off the coast of New Zealand back in June.  Find out why authorities believe the search should not yet end.

*Find out what's on the Dayplanner today, including a town hall with U.S. Senator David Vitter in Beauregard Parish and a news conference in Lake Charles regarding area airports.

    Lake Charles Police detectives are investigating a homicide at 2323 Broad Street that occurred Saturday morning.

    LCPD received a call about the shooting at 6:00 a.m., said Deputy Chief Mark Kraus.

    The victim was given aid on the scene, and transported to a nearby hospital, where he died.
