Lafayette teen dies after falling off balcony

Good Wednesday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's ahead on today's Sunrise:

*A 17-year-old boy from Lafayette falls to his death at an Orange Beach, Alabama condominium.  We will share the findings from investigators about the structural soundness of the balcony where the teen fell.

*It's been a trying year for some Lake Charles residents after a triple homicide in their community.  Find out how National Night Out brought them together to take back the streets where young people have been gunned down.

*Angola State Prison Warden Burl Cain apologizes to a federal judge over the temperature inside death row cell blocks.  We'll tell you what's been done to monitor the soaring temperatures ahead of the trial expected to wrap up today.

*Several cooling stations have been set up around Southwest Louisiana this week to keep people, especially senior citizens from heat illness.  We'll give you the rundown of where you can find them and what hours they'll be open.

Winds will blow out of the northeast at 5-10 mph. For our Sunday, we will have more scattered thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon. Rain chances are up to 60%. The rain will be caused by a cold front to our north, slowly approaching.
