Autopsies scheduled for boys killed by escaped snake

Good Tuesday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's ahead on today's Sunrise:

*Autopsies are scheduled for today in the deaths of two boys strangled in their sleep by an escaped pet store python.  Early indications suggest the python slithered out of its enclosure, got into the ventilation system, then an apartment where it killed the boys.

*Louisiana's black bear population is on the rise.  We'll have details on two new studies that estimate the total population to be around 500 in the state.

*Governor Bobby Jindal declares a state of emergency around the site of the derailed train leaking potentially deadly chemicals in Lawtell.  Find out where clean-up stands this morning.

*We have an update today on that nasty stomach bug sickening people in several states.  DHH now confirms a third case of cyclospora in Louisiana.

*Law enforcement around the area will hold their National Night Out events this evening.  We'll share the details of several community get-togethers tonight to help fight crime.

Make it a Sunrise day!
