Train derailment shuts down U.S. Hwy 190

A train derailment just east of Lawtell has shut down both directions of U.S. 190. The closure was put in place after crews discovered the train was leaking hazardous material. Traffic is being diverted as crews clean up the wreckage.

Plus, it's been a while since McNeese State University employees have not received a pay raise. Tonight, KPLC's Haley Rush talks to one professor who is doing what he can to make ends meet.
