Gina DeJesus was among the participants in Cleveland's Puerto Rican Parade Sunday.

Gina was spotted riding in a campaign car for Cleveland City Council candidate Janet Garcia.

Cleveland City Councilman Brian Cummins and the Cleveland Hispanic community marked the 45th celebration of the parade and Latino Fest over the weekend.

This year's theme is "a celebration of renewed hope and community healing" and is dedicated to those missing and to the families holding on to hope.

Last week 19 Action News reporter Ed Gallek found pictures of Gina and candidate Garcia on Garcia's Facebook page.

Proceeds from Puerto Rican Parade and Latin Fest support year round cultural arts programs offered at the Julia De Burgos Cultural Arts Center.

Gina DeJesus, Amanda Berry and Michelle Knight were held captive and sexually abused in Ariel Castro's Seymour Avenue house for more than a decade before they were rescued on May 6.

Castro pleaded guilty to 937 charges, including rape, kidnapping and assault. Castro is serve life in prison without parole, plus 1,000 years.

High grass and weeds can be hiding places for pests like rodents and snakes, and they can breed mosquitoes. That's why Lake Charles resident Raymond LeDay wants to know why billion-dollar company Entergy doesn't cut its grass. The Southeast corner of Highway 171 and Fitzenreiter Road is a large tract of land. Much, if not most of it, is owned by Entergy.
