    Several witnesses told us they heard what they thought were gunshots just before 9 o'clock. Shortly after, several Super 8 Hotel guests were told to evacuate. At least one person was taken away by ambulance, according to witnesses. There is no word on their injuries. More >>

*Tragedy at a Louisiana water park: a 14-year-old boy drowns at the Cajun Lagoon Water Park in Livingston Parish. 

*The funeral for the first bishop of Lake Charles is today.  We'll share the details from the prayer service to the funeral mass of Bishop Jude Speyrer this morning.

*800 job cuts are coming to Entergy.  Find out how many of those are expected in Louisiana and if any of those will affect Southwest Louisiana employees.

*An escaped inmate from Vernon Parish is back in custody today.  You might remember on July 15th, Tobias Williams left a job site while on work release. 

*We'll also have new details in that huge nationwide child sex trafficking sting that rescued dozens of teens and led to 150 arrests.  We now know 10 suspects in the Lake area are in custody.
