SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Caddo Parish deputies are still looking for a man suspected of robbing a bank in South Shreveport on Friday, July 26tth.  Deputies say a man walked into the Wesla Federal Credit Union on Williamson Way and demanded money before taking off on foot. The man was wearing a t-shirt that read "Sleep is for the Rich."

Now, a local small business owner who created the Sleep is for the Rich clothing line, Nicki Daniels, is worried about his business getting a bad name."I don't know if he purchased the shirt himself. I've never seen this guy. I tried my best to look at it to see if I knew the guy. I didn't know him," says Daniels.

Daniels says he's an Air Force veteran who built his brand from the ground up after being jobless and broke, "My brand is associated with positivity and working hard and relentless hustle, as we call it, now we're also being associated with a bank robbery."

Our cameras were there when a Caddo Parish detective showed up at Daniels' business on Greenwood Rd.  The detective wanted to gather information on Daniels' customers who may have purchased the t-shirt which was used in the robbery.

"He wanted to look at my receipt book to see who purchased the shirt," says Daniels. "This is what I'm dealing with right now. I know they are just following leads. I'm not upset with the detectives or anything."

Building a brand is no easy task. Daniels isn't rich just yet, but with faith he says this robbery may in fact be a blessing.

"Just another way that God is going to elevate my brand and bless it because a lot of people know about Sleep is for the Rich but a lot of people didn't know about Sleep is for the Rich but now they're asking questions."

Investigators are still following leads to try and capture the suspect. Daniels says he's cooperating with sheriff's detectives. If you have any information you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373.
