SPAR track stars take gold at Junior Olympics

Sound the alarm! Shreveport is yet again home to a group of champions this time it was out on the track at the USA Track and Field Jr. Olympics in Greensboro,N. C. this weekend.

Coach LeMark Carter's SPAR summer track team is bringing home some much deserved hardware. The SPAR girl's 9 and 10 year olds team won gold in the 4X100 meter dash on Saturday, July 28th with a time of 55.25.  Kandace Law, Kerrington Stewart, Jada Anderson and Cyntericka Gatson finished first out of a field that began with 36 teams.

In addition,  Kerrington Stewart took gold in the girl's 9 and 10 year old 100 meter finals with a time of 13.31.  Kendrick Law was also impressive finishing 2nd in the boys 9 and 10 year old long jump finals.
