President pushing for minimum wage hike

Good Thursday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's ahead on today's Sunrise:

*President Barack Obama hits the road to talk about jobs and the economy.  One of the items topping the list - raising minimum wage.

*New developments in the rig fire off the Gulf of Mexico, south of Grand Isle.  Parts of the platform are now collapsing.

*Expect an update today on the construction of Magnolia LNG, the liquefied natural gas facility to be built on Port of Lake Charles property.  The company's VP of project management is set to present the latest plans at tonight's Calcasieu Parish Police Jury meeting.

*Is Lake Charles a bike-friendly community?  This morning, you'll hear from cyclists that say not so much - and the businesses that are working to change that.

Make it a Sunrise day!
