3 people hurt in 2 separate shootings

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A pair of late-night shootings have sent three people to the hospital.

The first happened at the James Cayce homes around 7 p.m.  Two people were shot after an argument inside an apartment.

Both people were taken to the hospital with critical injuries but are expected to survive.

Several bystanders were nearby when the shooting took place, but they weren't able to identify a gunman.

An hour later another man was shot in the leg near a home in Buena Vista.

He told police he was standing on Monroe Street when he heard gunshots and started running.

One of those bullets hit him in the leg.

The victim said he didn't know who was shooting at him or why.
