A Lake Charles man has been sentenced to life in prison in the 2010 murder of his stepfather.

Coby Ceaser was convicted last month in the murder of 41-year-old Patrick Myles.

Judge Kent Savoie sentenced Ceaser on Monday. Ceaser will not have the benefit of probation, parole or suspension. His life sentence with hard labor will be served with the Louisiana Department of Corrections.

Ceaser was charged with second-degree murder in the case.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Rick Bryant for the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney's Office.
