COLLEGE STATION, TX (KLTV) -

Texas A&M quarterback and Tyler native Johnny Manziel pleaded guilty on Monday to a misdemeanor failure to identify charge that stemmed from a 2012 incident in College Station.

According to KBTX in College Station, the quarterback was sentenced to two days in jail and ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and court costs. Brazos County Attorney Rod Anderson said Manziel will not likely serve jail time because of time already served.

Manziel was arrested in June 2012 after a fight in College Station. After police broke up the fight, Manziel, who was 19 at the time, gave authorities a fake ID that showed he was 21.

Manziel, who won the Heisman Trophy last season, was also charged with disorderly conduct and possession of a fictitious drivers license. The disorderly conduct charge was barred from future prosecution because of his plea on the failure to identify charge.

His court appearance comes after Manziel departed a day early from the prestigious Manning football camp held in Louisiana. Manziel said an illness caused him to miss practice sessions.
