Counter-terrorism training underway for LA agencies

Happy Friday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's ahead on today's Sunrise:

*Louisiana ranks high on the list of targets for terrorists because of the Mississippi River's dominance here and numerous chemical plants.  We'll take you inside a training underway right now by state agencies to train against such attacks.

*Calcasieu Parish CAT team investigators expect to make more arrests in a huge meth ring bust.  18 people are in jail this morning because of their suspected involvement in a drug ring in the Vinton area.

*Lawmakers in Washington, D.C. can't agree on how to lower student loan rates and reform immigration.  This morning, hear about any potential progress on the stalemate.

*From a "talking" cat to a fantastic lip dub involving LaGrange High School teachers, we'll show you the videos that caught our attention this week in Parting Shots.

*Plus, outdoor guide Hal McMillin joins us for a fishing report.

Make it a Sunrise day!
