Sulphur Council defers decision on proposed RV Park

SULPHUR, LA (KPLC) -

The City of Sulphur stopped short of taking final action on a proposed RV park. However, the Sulphur City Council did annex the property just south of the I-10 interchange on Beglis Parkway where the proposed RV park wants to call home.

The city council said their decision to defer the item until next month's meeting was based on limited information on the proposal and concerns from nearby residents.

"So that will allow us to do is reset for the developers to meet with the people who live around the proposed RV park. And also for us to get further information, which will help us make the decision on whether we decide the RV park will be something that we want inside the city or not," said Randy Favre, Sulphur City Council President.

The proposal will be taken up again at the August 12th meeting.
