Police pursuit ends in head-on collision

Good Evening,

Lee Peck in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we are working on for Nightcast.

A high speed pursuit ends in a head-on collision on Gulf Highway. One person was injured and several others arrested. We'll have details.

Plus, the Vatican announced on Friday that John Paul II will be canonized as a saint. KPLC's Gerron Jordan has local reaction from catholic parishioners in Sulphur.

Sulphur's SPAR Water Park also opened up its Raging River & Parrot Island this weekend. We'll show why they say it's a mix of "lazy and rough."

We will also have the latest on the investigation into the deadly plane crash in San Francisco. At least two people were killed and 180 other injured when an Asiana Airline Boeing 777 made a crash landing.

It's been a rainy day across much of Southwest Louisiana. The rain chances stick around as we head into our work week. Meteorologist Cedric Haynes has your forecast.

We'll see you tonight at ten for these stories and more. Until then we're always on at kplctv.com.
