CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) -

Louisiana State Police are investigating a traffic stop-turned pursuit that ended in a head-on collision on LA 385 Sunday afternoon.

State Trooper Albert Paxton says during a routine traffic stop on Cal-Cam Ward Line Road, the driver of a gold Chevy Impala tried to evade police and began traveling north on LA 385.

The vehicle lost control near Lincoln Rd. and collided with a blue Honda CR-V. The driver of the Honda, 82-year-old Marjorie Gray of Lake Charles, suffered moderate injuries.

The driver and two passengers of the Chevy Impala have not yet been identified. They have been arrested and will be booked into the Calcasieu Parish jail.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office and Cameron Parish Sheriff's Office assisted State Police in this case.
