Two people reportedly dead & up to 70 injured in San Francisco plane crash

Good Afternoon,

Lee Peck from the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we are working on today.

A scary situation in at the San Francisco International Airport after an Asian Airlines plane crashed while landing. NBC is reporting two people have died and up to 70 people injured. Some passengers could be seen jumping down the emergency inflatable slides from the Boeing 777.

Also back here at home it's one of the biggest fishing tournaments in Southwest Louisiana. The annual Fourth of July Saltwater Fishing Tournament has only been canceled twice in its 75 years – the first time because of World War II, the second time because of the BP Oil Spill. Tonight KPLC's Olivia Vidal tells you why fishermen were forced to wait to cast their lines.

And for folks out on Southwest Louisiana waterways it may be the relief they need as we experience another hot summer day. Meteorologist Cedric Haynes has your complete forecast.

We'll see you here tonight at six for these stories and much more. Until then we're always on at kplctv.com.
