A man who fled from the Welsh Police Department last month was determined not to be a flight risk in federal court on Tuesday.
Damien Guidry fled from Welsh authorities after he was arrested on outstanding federal warrants.
Guidry later turned himself in to U.S. Marshal's Office authorities.
According to KATC-TV, one of Guidry's federal warrants is for a charge of convicted felon with possession of a firearm.
Guidry released on a $45,000 bond in Lafayette Parish. However, the station reports that he was taken to Welsh, where he still has pending warrants.
