‘Dragonfly Art’ explored at Central Library

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - It was a day of repurposed art at Central Library.

Tuesday's "Dragonfly Art" involved taking different types of debris materials and creating the colorful insects.

Artist Trish Ransom said it was about relaxing -- and imagination.

"Today, we are going to be making dragonflies out of salvaged 2-by-4s from construction sites and using salvaged metal screen, what I thought would be interesting for people. I just hope people have a good experience. There's no right and wrong. I just love that I can come in and give everybody the same instructions and everybody comes up with something unique and different," Ransom said.
