Sulphur residents will pay more water, garbage and sewer rates starting Monday.

The Sulphur City Council approved increasing fees for water, sewage and garbage services.

They also decided to start billing the services separately to reduce any confusion on how much each service will go up in price.

Water service will increase 25 cents while sewage increases 75 cents and $1.23 on garbage.

Sulphur Mayor Chris Duncan said that separating the services will make it easier to keep track of the billing process.
