ST. MARTIN PARISH, LA (KPLC) - A Guy's Towing tow truck operator died early Sunday morning after a hit-and-run crash. The crash occurred on I-10 in St. Martin Parish.
A Texas man is in jail for vehicular homicide.
At 2:23 a.m., 25-year-old Blaze Louviere, of Breaux Bridge, was standing on the shoulder of I-10 Westbound near his tow truck attempting to remove a disabled vehicle.
Authorities said 24-year-old Luis Molina struck Louviere and left the scene.
Witnesses followed Molina until police arrived.
Louviere was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, but was pronounced dead a few hours later.
Molina was not injured in the crash and he was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Officials said the crash remains under investigation.
