Allen Sheriff: Oberlin man confesses to stabbing & slashing wife's throat

An Oberlin man is in jail after authorities say he confessed to killing his wife. Allen Parish Sheriff Doug Hebert said Joseph Vercher turned himself into the Sheriff's Office this morning around 1:30 a.m. and told deputies he stabbed his wife multiple times and slashed her throat.

Also Lake Charles Police arrest three Houston, Texas men for theft. Police said they were caught operating a so-called "pigeon drop" scam. We'll have details.
