ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - Five people have been sentenced to prison terms for their roles in a home invasion in which two Alexandria priests were injured.
The Town Talk reports (http://townta.lk/17sYSYE ) that the prison terms handed down Friday by state Judge Thomas Yeager ranged from 20 to 30 years.
The Rev. Craig Scott was shot and wounded during the August 2012 attack at St. Rita Catholic Church's rectory. The Rev. Marek Norjek was struck with a gun.
2 of the defendants - 19-year-old Paul Antonio Clark and 19-year-old Ashunti Pearrie - also were sentenced Friday for their roles in a separate break-in at the home of a Word War II veteran.
Yeager also sentenced 23-year-old Larry Culbert and two defendants who were 17 years old at the time of the attack at the church.
