S'port Bossier Mavericks release ABA schedule

The Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks today released their 2013-14 schedule. The schedule features 17 regular season home games, a 3 day Tip-Off Classic which will have 8 teams participating, and 22 Gulf Coast Division games.

The Mavericks are slated to play in a refurbished Hirsch Coliseum on the Louisiana State Fairgrounds.

The Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks return to the ABA after a two year absence when they were venturing opportunities for the future for their professional basketball organization.

The Mavericks compiled an 89-7 record in 3 seasons in the American Basketball Association (ABA). They won 3 Division Championships and 2 ABA National Championships. No team has ever dominated the ABA as the Mavericks have.

Entering the upcoming season the Mavericks have an active 26 Game Winning Streak and a 39 Game Home Court Winning Streak. Season tickets go on sale SOON.

    PLEASANT GROVE, Texas -- Pleasant Grove's three-star linebacker Xavier Benson announced Monday he has verbally committed to Texas Tech.  The 6'3, 200-pound senior had previously announced he would be making his decision on July 30th. He had received 22 scholarship offers to play football prior to making his decision.
