Lake Charles man accused in rape case

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

A Lake Charles man is accused of aggravated rape and false imprisonment, according to a news release from the Lake Charles Police Department.

Carlton Stevens Jr. 56, is charged with aggravated rape and false imprisonment in the case.

Bond is set at $425,000.

Authorities said the charges stem from a June 21 complaint.

The Lake Charles Police Department's Sex Crime Unit investigated.

    A vehicle attempting to turn left from Sallier onto Ryan Street had its driver's side mirror clipped by a train Monday morning, authorities said. The driver's side door of the vehicle was then torn off as the driver attempted to notify the train conductor about the mirror. Avoid the area of Ryan and Sallier Streets for the next hour due to a traffic accident that is causing road blockage.
