Groundbreaking Book Bingo: 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 5. Adults will play bingo using book titles and authors.  Prizes will be awarded and refreshments served.  Registration is required.

Blind Date with a Book: All month long during regular operating hours.  Looking for a way to spice up your summer reading? Stop by Central library to pick up a "blind date." Simply stop by the Reference Desk, pick up a wrapped book, check it out, and then unwrap to see what book you have!

Computer Basics: 1 p.m., Monday, July 1. Adults will cover basics such as keyboard and mouse skills and how to navigate a computer desktop.  Registration is required.

Debris Art Dragonfly Workshop by Trish Ransom – 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 2. Artist Trish Ransom will guide adults in making creations from supplied debris. Registration is required.

Read and Share Family Story Time: 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 2. Parents and children will take home a book to read and will discuss it the following week. Registration is required.

Coffee and History: 9:30 a.m., Monday, July 1. Patrons in the community will share photos and articles of history about the surrounding area.

Painting Tiles: 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 2. Adults will create unique tiles. Supplies will be provided. 

Literacy Council of SWLA presents English as a Second Language Classes: 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 2. The Literacy Council of SWLA will offer free English as a second language classes to interested persons.

Adult Reading Group: 4 p.m., Tuesday, July 2. Adults will read and discuss John Le Carre's book "A Most Wanted Man." Light refreshments will be served.

Celebrate Red, White, and Blue with Lady Holly: 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 2.  Lady Holly and her ballet dancers will bring culture and storytelling for a fun filled Fourth of July celebration. 

Fun with Fideaux: 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 2. The SWLA Human Society will bring trained dogs to the library and children can grab their favorite book and read to them. 

Tween SWAMP Readers – Magic Workshop: 10 a.m., Friday, July 5. Tweens in grades 3-5 will enjoy crafts and a book talk. Registration is required.

Friday Movie Time: 1:30 p.m., Friday, July 5. Grab a pillow and come watch a family oriented movie at Central Library.

Fire Department: 2 p.m., Monday, July 1. Sheree Copeland, a volunteer from the DeQuincy Fire Department, will present a program on fire safety. Attendees will have the opportunity to view the fire truck.
