8 puppies rescued after being left in road

LEBANON, TN (WSMV) -

A box of 10 newborn puppies was found in the middle of the road in Smith County.

Now rescuers are trying to find who's responsible and do the best to find them new and safe homes.

"At this age they are blind they can't hear their ear canals haven't opened yet so the only good thing about them being left where they were they didn't see anything and they didn't hear anything," said Donna McGregor, the owner/operator of Dreamland Animal Rescue & Sanctuary.

Two of 10 puppies have died since they were rescued.

The pets are available to be adopted at Dreamland Animal Rescue and Sanctuary in Lebanon. Contact the animal rescue at 615-374-2315.
