LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

A Lake Charles woman is accused of attempted second-degree murder following a stabbing.

According to a news release from Lake Charles Deputy Chief of Police Mark Kraus, 42-year-old Lora Ann Fontenot is in the Calcasieu Correctional Center on $150,000 bond.

Authorities said at approximately 1:16 a.m. Wednesday, officers were dispatched to a Lake Street home in reference to a stabbing.

Kraus said upon arrival, officers found a victim who was bleeding from a "non-life threatening wound." The individual was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
