WELSH, LA (KPLC) -

The ongoing search continues for a suspect who ran out of the Welsh Police Department on Wednesday night.

Damien Guidry, 33, stands at 6-feet, 3-inches and weighs around 192 pounds. Authorities say he has distinctive gold teeth.

Welsh Police Chief Marcus Crochet said Guidry fled around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Guidry was taken in on a federal warrant, Crochet said. When an officer turned his back, Guidry reportedly ran out of the facility.

"When he left our facilities last night, he was wearing a gray shirt, black and white shorts and black socks. We've heard word that he was possibly on a motorcycle last night after he was on foot … clothing description kind of unknown and kind of unknown direction of travel. Could be from the Texas area to the Baton Rouge area. He's been a frequent flyer of local law enforcement," Crochet said.

Crochet said Guidry is armed and dangerous.

Anyone who sees him should not approach, he said, but should call 911.
