LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

Lake Charles police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Saturday at a business at 2202 Common Street.

According to a news release from the department, the suspect is described as a black male, standing 6-feet, 1-inch to 6-feet, 3-inches. Authorities said he has a slim-to-medium build and weighs around 180 pounds.

The man was reportedly wearing a blue pullover hoodie, a red, white and blue T-shirt, blue jean sorts, white tennis shoes with black trim and a blue mask over his face at the time of the incident.

Authorities said the suspect was armed with a black, older model revolver with a long barrel.
