Jack in the Box employees assaulted in south Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Two Jack in the Box employees were hurt in a south Nashville robbery.

Police said a man and women were assaulted by a robber with a handgun at a Jack in the Box on Capital Funds Court.

Investigators said the robber came in with a silver handgun, but instead of firing the weapon, he used the gun to strike each victim.

Police said he demanded cash from the drawer and ran off.

Officers are investigating whether this assailant was the same man involved in an overnight robbery at a Sonic on Murfreesboro Pike.
