The year that is LSU baseball. What all started with a head coach making a bold, possibly crazy statement about a true freshman named Alex Bregman.

Has now turned into a foreseeable outcome. As Bregman was named freshman of the year in the nation, the Tigers recorded their best record in school history, won the SEC Championship and are now headed to the College World Series.

And a big motivation for the team was seeing their seniors continue the 32 year streak of Tigers going to Omaha.

But don't think this is where the story ends.

At your service, Seth Lewis, KPLC 7 Sports.
