LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

The deal is final on the old Sears property in downtown Lake Charles.

The City of Lake Charles has sold the property to developer Roger Landry.

The purchase price for the property was $1,065,000.

City officials on Thursday said the documents were executed by the last party on Wednesday and the proceeds of the sale were disbursed to the city on Thursday.

Landry is proposing to build a multi-million dollar luxury apartment and mixed retail development on the site, across the street from his Muller's Lofts.
