BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

LSU's Freshman Player of the Year Alex Bregman and pitching ace Aaron Nola have been named to Baseball America's All-American first team.

LSU and Cal State Fullerton are the only teams to place multiple players on the 2013 first team.

The SEC leads all leagues with five first-teamers and 10 All-Americans, followed by the ACC with three first-teamers and six total.

First baseman Mason Katz joined Nola on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's All-America first team. Bregman was named to the second team.

It is the first time in school history the Tigers have produced three first-team all-Americans in one season.
