Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.

Imagine this horrifying scene: Two giant men dressed in black with bloody clown masks invade a home, scaring the living daylights out of the resident. That resident, by the way, was so frightened he admitted to police he was a drug dealer! It's quite a freaky tale – one we'll share at noon. You can also read the story HERE.

Locally, Lake Charles Police continue to investigate a homicide at an area apartment complex.  An 18-year-old man has been booked with the second-degree murder of another man.

Also today, it looks like someone is getting a tattoo, but it's actually a new medical treatment that helps patients cope with scars from surgery. We'll show you how this "scar camouflage" works.

Plus, a mother goose shot with an arrow. We'll explain how folks rallied to safe it's life. It's a story with a happy ending.

In weather, Ben tells me we begin the week on a sunny note with highs near 90 by this afternoon. However, look for the return of scattered afternoon thunderstorms. Frequent lightning, small hail and torrential downpours are all possible. Once we dry out from that, what can we expect for the rest of our work week? Tune in for Ben's live, local forecast for the answers today at noon.

Remember, you can always watch us online at kplctv.com and on air. We hope you join us, and have a great day!

FIRST ALERT FORECAST: A couple of storms systems will impact our area through next week

We seem to be in a weather pattern where storm systems move across or near our area every 4 to 6 days, and that trend is likely to continue for the foreseeable future.  This should help to keep pollen a little more limited and will help the many plants that are greening up this spring.  Temperatures will remain warm and humid through next week.
